 Quick Update: Four Children lost their lives in Fire accident...   A tragic house fire in the New Matadi community of Monrovia claimed the lives of four children early Thursday morning. The Liberia National Fire Service (LNFS) has attributed the incident to limited road access, which delayed firefighters from reaching the scene in time. At a Ministry of Information press briefing, LNFS Director Col. G. Warsuwah Barvoul explained that although fire crews responded within eleven minutes of receiving the emergency call, their efforts were severely hindered by blocked alleyways that obstructed access to the burning structure. “The fire team arrived promptly but could not reach the house due to structures obstructing the pathway. This delay unfortunately contributed to the loss of young lives,” Col. Barvoul stated. Nineteen-year-old Opesusi Faith Timilehin on Monday took ‘Push Out’ rodent poison after scoring 190 in the just-released results of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), organised by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Timilehin, from Abeokuta, lived at Odogunyan in Ikorodu, Lagos State, with her elder sibling. The Guardian Newspaper learnt that neighbors and residents mourned Timilehin, whom they described as “gentle and humble.” A family source said  the deceased, who applied for  microbiology , also sat for the same examination last year. “ She said her last year’s result was better than this year’s ,” one of her close allies (name withheld) told our correspondent on the phone.   A young man has been arrested for allegedly beating his 7-year-old son to death in Port Harcourt, Rivers state. According to multiple online sources, the man accused his child of stealing N3200 on Friday night and beat him till 1am on Saturday. The little boy was found lifeless this morning after the father tried to wake him up to run an errand for his pregnant wife.   A devastating incident has occurred in oju as a promising young girl,  Rebecca from Ucho Ainu Itikpala has lost her life in a tragic way. According to eyewitnesses, Rebecca was chased out of school on Monday due to unpaid school fees. Instead of heading home, she went to a nearby guava tree, where she climbed and fell, sustaining injuries that led to internal bleed!ng.   A female Tanzanian artiste, Kijakazi Pazi Shaban, died last week after she was allegedly battered by her husband.
