The incident happened Tuesday evening , at Apamisede Community, in Adavi Local Government Area of the state.
The victim was however lucky to have been rescued by neighbours.
According to eyewitness accounts, Goodness' mother had directed him to punish Friday for allegedly stealing her N1000.
It was gathered that Goodness beat Friday to stupor before burying him alive.
Speaking on why decided to bury his brother alive, Goodness said he was only carrying out the instructions of their mother who asked him to punish his brother for allegedly stealing her N1000 and trying to run away.
According to him, the mother, who instructed him to punish Friday, was away to church when he buried him alive.
Spokesperson of the command, SP William Aya, who confirmed the incident, said the boy has been arrested and undergoing interrogation.
“Yes, we are aware. The boy has been arrested, investigation is ongoing as to why and how such a thing could happen,” the PPRO added.

The harrowing ordeal was captured in a video that quickly circulated across various platforms and sighted by Trendygists. In the video, the elder brother shockingly admitted to the act of burying his younger sibling, justifying it by claiming that the young boy had stolen 1000 naira.
During the ensuing interrogation, the suspect offered an even more disturbing revelation. He stated that while their father remained unaware of the incident, their mother was fully cognizant of what had transpired.
According to him, it was at his mother’s behest that he had been instructed to impose such a severe and inhumane punishment upon his younger brother.
The matter has been reported to the D Division of the police station in Lokoja, Kogi State. A thorough investigation is now underway to determine the full extent of this appalling incident and bring those responsible to justice.
